UX Researcher

The UX/UI Team at Hapag-Lloyd Chennai is one of three international teams designing the user experience for our internal enterprise systems. We are 30 experts globally providing research, design and development for our product teams. Our vision is to create internal software that seamlessly integrates into the workflow of business professionals and enables them to focus on delivering best customer experience.

In your new role as a UX Researcher you will be responsible for co-creating a central User Research Repository for our internal products, conducting qualitative and quantitative user research for our product teams and supporting them in building applications. You will create and implement your own ideas regarding the development of UX Research at Hapag-Lloyd and improvements in our digital solutions. You will collaborate closely with UX Researchers, Product Designers, UX Analysts, Developers and Product Managers from other teams.

• Co-create holistic UX research processes, frameworks, UX research repository for the internal products research in collaboration with other locations
• Conduct exploratory user research, concept validation and usability testing
• You will work on UX – research with our employees who are the main users of the solution and DX – research with engineers responsible for the solution development
• Advocate UX research in our product teams and support their design decision-making processes with your discoveries
• Review, analyse and transform data into actionable insights to improve the experience of our users
• Conduct workshops focused on UX Research planning and UX Research education
• Collaborate with UX Analyst on quantitative research projects.

• 5 to 8 years of experience as a UX Researcher or in a similar role
• Comprehensive understanding of user-centered design practices and principles
• Experience in qualitative research methods, e.g., user interviews, contextual inquiry, surveys, usability testing
• Experience conducting research at various stages of product development
• Ability to present your working results to various stakeholders
• Curiosity and drive to continually improve our UX research processes
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in an international and multicultural organization
• Very good written and verbal communication skills in English
